An 8-ton armoured "half-track" tractor truck, fitted with a quadruple
barreled Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun. Orininally designed for use
against enemy aircraft, this innovative and distinctive looking vehicle/gun
combo was also highly effective against ground based targets and personnel.
The devastating and highly deployable 105mm Howitzer was the backbone
of American field artillery during WWII. It continues to be an important
part of arsenals worldwide.
The German 88mm Flak Gun was both an anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapon.
It was powerful enough to penetrate heavy armour at long ranges. Although
extremely effective, its large size made it difficult to move and conceal.
The M3 Grant was a United States tank design that was modified for the
British Army. The British Government had sought a complete British
design, but had to accept a modified U.S. designed Tank. The
British Army did not like the high profile of the standard U.S. turret,
so they offered a lower profile turret with more crew space that would
fit within the same turret ring.
The AAV carries up to 25 Marines and can reach speeds of 8 MPH in the
water, and up to 45 MPH on land. The primary mission is delivery
of troops and supplies during amphibious assault operations. The
AAV’s disembark directly from Navy ships fully loaded and drive ashore
in the first wave of a beach assault.
The M109 is the most advanced self-propelled gun in the U.S. Army inventory.
The Paladin includes new navigational and fire control systems and features
a Kevlar lined crew compartment to guard against nuclear, biological, and
chemical attacks.
The MLRS carries 12 rockets, which can each contain up to 644 M-77 Shaped
Charge rounds. The reload time is less than 5 minutes. Standard
Rockets engage targets up to 19 miles away and the new extended range rockets
can hit targets up to 31 miles away
The Light Armored Vehicle 25 (LAV-25) is the U.S. Marine Corps all-terrain,
all-weather, 8-wheeled vehicle capable of traversing land and water.
The amphibious operation requires no more than 3 minutes of preparation,
and the LAV-25 can reach speeds of 6 MPH on water.
The Panther is one of the best-known German tanks of WWII. The Panther
was also considered one of the best tanks of all the armies in conflict.
The Panther was a great engineering success, as it proved reliable on cross-country
terrain, fast, with great armor design, and a potent 75mm gun that had
better penetration than the awesome Tiger’s 88mm gun.
The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind is one of the most distinguishable German
WWII Tanks. Built on older and sometimes battle-damaged Panzer IV chassis,
the Wirbelwind was an interim solution to defend against strong air assaults
from allied aircraft. The Wirbelwind was armed with quadruple 20mm Flak
38 guns in an open top turret designed with 9 armored side panels.
The U.K. Challenger II is the most advanced battle tank in the British
arsenal. The hull and chassis are based upon the Challenger I, but the
Challenger II incorporates over 150 improvements for better reliability,
lethality, and maintainability. The Challenger proved highly effective
in Operation Iraqi Freedom as it engaged a much inferior Iraqi Army.
The U.S. M60A1 Patton Tank began production in 1960. It had a high profile
and limited cross-country capabilities but proved reliable and effective
in the Israeli Army Yom Kippur War. Its last combat action by the U.S.
Marines occurred during Operation Desert Storm.
The German JagdPanther was arguably the best tank destroyer design of
WWII. The Panther chassis was chosen and it was armed with a powerful 88mm
Pak 43 L/71 gun. Although conceptualized and designed in 1942, by the time
the tanks were manufactured and shipped to the troops in 1944, Germany
was in full retreat across multiple fronts.
Known as Königstiger, the German King Tiger was the most powerful
battle tank in the German Arsenal. The definitive roar of the engine, the
awesome 88MM cannon, and the simple fact that it took 5 Sherman tanks to
successfully defeat 1 King Tiger was reason enough for the name King Tiger.
The sheer number of Sherman Tanks in WWII gave the allies a distinct
advantage, but the quick response, maneuverability, reliability and ease
of maintenance proved the greatest basic assets. The E8 configuration was
also known as the “Easy Eight”.
The StuG III was one of the first German assault tank destroyers. The
simplicity, low cost, and short time to manufacture led to large production
numbers in the early years of WWII. The Ausf. G provided greater personnel
protection & increased firepower with a new 75 MM gun.
The British Matilda Tank was initially the most heavily armored tank
in WWII. The thick armor plating provided great crew protection and the
40MM solid shot cannon proved lethal to light & medium German tanks
that it encountered.
The M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank is the most advanced battle tank in
the world. The firepower and mobility are unsurpassed. The Abrams is continuously
updated with the latest communication gear, improved armament and better
IFF recognition. M1A1 Abrams is a trademark of General Dynamics Land Systems
and is used under license to Unimax Toys Limited.
In pursuit of greater firepower, the German Army created a series of
heavy battle tanks. One of the most formidable was the Tiger Tank. With
100MM thick armor plating and an awesome 88MM gun, the Tiger was vastly
superior to the smaller Russian T-34’s
The M3A2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) is the newest version of the
fully tracked, lightly armored fighting vehicle that features many advances
over previous variants. New fire control, communication, and identification
systems give even more lethality to the mighty fighting vehicle.
The German Army was bent on producing the biggest, best, and most capable
battle tanks in service. The Tiger Tank was an unmatched machine with thick
armor and a powerful gun. During the fighting near Caen, a single Tiger
destroyed 37 British armored vehicles in a single afternoon.
In the latter part of WWII, the U.S. Army realized the inherent weaknesses
of the M4 Shermans. In the face of the heavy battle tanks of the German
Army, the U.S. began development of M26. The Pershing would have much greater
armor, a lower profile, and a 90MM or 105 MM gun.
The M4A3 Sherman was the most produced and most modified tank of WWII.
The British Army modified the basic M4 chassis with multiple weapons configurations
and equipment. The Royal Scots Greys was the British M4A3 tank for the
final battles of Italy in 1943.
The Iraqi T-72 is the latest Russian weapons technology in the Iraqi
arsenal. Although fast, durable, and potent with its 125mm gun, the T-72
proved no match for the U.S. Apache Helicopters or M1A2 Battle Tank
The StuG III Ausf. G was one of the most cost effective tanks to manufacture
in the German Army. The relatively low cost led to high production numbers.
There were over 7,500 produced during WW II. The Tank Destroyer design
was much simpler and much quicker to produce than the rotating turret designed
tanks.
The Panzer IV Ausf. G was a continual improvement on the formidable
Panzer IV tank. The Ausf. G featured a more powerful & longer barrel
75MM gun that provided a stronger counter to the improved Russian T-34.
The British Matilda Tank was initially the most heavily armored tank
in WWII. The thick armor plating provided great crew protection and the
40mm solid shot cannon proved lethal to the light & medium German tanks
that it encountered.
The initial designs for the Jagdpanther were created in the Fall of
1942. The purpose was to mount a 88MM PaK 43 gun on a self-propelled vehicle.
The Panther chassis was chosen and the armored plating configuration was
changed. Approximately 420 units were produced in 1944.
The M3 Grant was a United States tank design that was modified for the
British Army. The British Government had sought a complete British design,
but had to accept a modified U.S. designed Tank. The British Army did not
like the high profile of the standard U.S. turret, so they offered a lower
profile turret with more crew space that would fit within the same turret
ring.
With over 30 years of combat service the M60A1 Patton Tank has seen
many improvements. The latest modification featured reactive armor to improve
survivability against new missile systems.
The Russian T-34’s were defeating the light and medium tanks of the
German Army. The Third Reich knew they must develop a heavy battle tank
that could put more firepower against the T-34s. The Tiger I was a grand
solution with significant armor protection and a potent 88mm Gun. The Tiger
I proved highly effective, and in July of 1943, a single Tiger I engaged
50 T-34’s, 22 were destroyed and the remaining 28 retreated.
The Abrams is the new standard in highly mobile, heavily armored, battle
tanks. The M1A1 Abrams is the quickest, most sophisticated, and most lethal
battle tank in the world. M1A1 Abrams is a trademark of General Dynamics
Land Systems and is used under license to Unimax Toys Limited.
The German King Tiger Tank was the most feared tank on the battlefield.
The thick armor gave it a decisive edge in defense, and the power of the
88mm gun gave it a commanding edge in attack. The tank was not produced
in great numbers and entered use towards the end of WWII. By this time
in the war, the allies had achieved air superiority and many King Tigers
were destroyed from the air.
The German Army was bent on producing the biggest, best, and most capable
battle tanks in service. The Tiger Tank was an unmatched machine with thick
armor and a powerful gun. During one afternoon near Caen, a single Tiger
destroyed 37 armored vehicles.
The Russian T-34 was one of the best designed medium tanks of World
War II. They proved a formidable defense against the light and medium tanks
of the German Army. It was not until the Germans sent in heavy battle tanks,
that the Russians had to modify and improve the armor and firing capabilities
of the T-34. A bigger cast turret with a more powerful 85mm gun was added
to improve on the initial design of the T-34/76.
The Bradley is the ultimate troop-carrying partner to the Abrams Battle
Tank. The Bradley serves multiple roles and has excellent crew protection
capabilities with high mobility and intense firepower.
The Panzer IV Ausf. F was actually the third production variant to the
Panzer IV. The initial versions A, B, and C, were used for development
and training only. The first production unit was an Ausf. D. The Ausf.
F featured a new turret design, a new drive sprocket and was the last variant
armed with the short barrel 75mm gun.
While the Tiger I was a very powerful tank, the German Army’s pursuit
of even greater firepower lead to the development of a second generation
Tiger, one with a 88MM cannon, 150MM thick front armor, and 80MM side armor.
This new Tiger would be forever known as the King Tiger.
The Panzer IV is one of the most known medium tanks of the German Army.
It was one of the most produced and most modified & improved tank during
WWII. The late production Ausf. G variant was fitted with a 75mm KwK 40
L/48 gun that made it a much greater foe to the Russian T-34.
The U.K. Challenger II is the most advanced battle tank in the British
arsenal. The hull and chassis are based upon the Challenger I, but the
Challenger II incorporates over 150 improvements for better reliability,
lethality, and maintainability. The Challenger proved highly effective
in Operation Iraqi Freedom as it engaged a much inferior Iraqi Army.

terrain, fast, with great armor design, and a potent 75mm gun that had
better penetration than the awesome Tiger’s 88mm gun.
The U.S. M60A1 Patton Tank began production in 1960. It had a high profile
and limited cross-country capabilities but proved reliable and effective
in the Israeli Army Yom Kippur War. Its last combat action by the U.S.
Marines occurred during Operation Desert Storm.

the tanks were manufactured and shipped to the troops in 1944, Germany
was in full retreat across multiple fronts.
The highly potent German Luftwaffe campaigns of North Africa illustrated
the need for greater anti-aircraft weaponry. The U.S. Army identified the
urgent need and quickly outfitted existing half-track vehicles with four
.50 caliber machine guns in a Maxon Turret.
The Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Hanomag was the first in a series of highly mobile
armored German transport vehicles. It embodied the fast pace advances of
the blitzkrieg war. Over 15,000 Sd. Kfz. 251 half-track vehicles with many
variants were manufactured during WWII and they saw many improvements and
changes during the course of the war.
Over 15,000 Sd. Kfz. 251 half-track vehicle variants were manufactured
during WWII. The 251/1 was designed to transport 10 soldiers, a driver,
and commander and could travel at speeds up to 32 MPH.
The half-track operation of the M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage was
a specific necessity in navigating the rough terrain of the Ardennes Forest.
Equipped with four .50 caliber machine guns and an armor reinforced turret,
the M16 was primarily used against German ground troops.
The Sd. Kfz. 251 half-track was produced in many variants. The 251/9
Kanonenwagen featured a 75 MM cannon, could carry 52 rounds, and was operated
by a crew of 3.
Over 53,000 M3 vehicles were produced during WWII. The M3A1 featured
a 147 horsepower 6-cylinder gasoline engine that could reach speeds of
45MPH. Configured in many different formats the M3A1 was primarily used
for troop transport and as an armored car. It contained an array of small
arms and a .50 caliber Browning M2-HB.
The HUMVEE (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle HMMWV) is the
transportation workhorse of the modern military. The M1036 variant supports
a TOW anti-tank missile system and was also used extensively in Operation
Desert Storm for troop & gear transport, and light arms fire suppression.

The famous German Motorcycle Side Car was a highly sought after vehicle
for the soldiers that drove it and rode in it. It was quick, very maneuverable,
and very dependable. The biggest drawback was the cost. It was estimated
that for the price of one Zundapp KS750, the German Army could acquire
two Kubelwagens.
The off-road and amphibious operation of the German Schwimmwagen proved
extremely valuable in the arduous conditions before, during, and after
the Battle of the Bulge. The troop & small arms transport capabilities
provided quick response for an advancing, and then retreating German Army.
The transportation workhorse of the modern military, the HUMVEE is versatile,
dependable, and highly mobile. The M1036 variant supports a TOW anti-tank
missile system. HUMVEE® is a registered trademark of AM General LLC,

notice to bring in, or extract, special operations forces.
The Churchill Tank, named after the famous British Prime Minister, Winston
Churchill, was a widely developed series of heavy infantry tanks. The basic
blueprint followed a pre-WWII tank design based upon trench warfare characteristics
of WWI. The Churchill was continuously upgraded to improve its sometimes
poor performance. It was a low profile tank that had excellent climbing
capabilities, but it lacked firepower and armament. By the end of the war,
some late model Churchill’s were fitted with 75mm main guns and some had
armor that rivaled that of the German King Tiger.
