5,6,7 Considered by most as filler pieces which means
they are desireable to have in a collection
but only
until better one is found. Most contain scratching throughout and paint
loss though
it may
not be so deep that the metal is showing. Some light to medium rusting.
8 Just off average
condition. May contain some light scratching and light rust on face, rim
and
back of tray.
8.5 All book pricing uses this stardard
as a starting point when grading trays. This is the condition
you will find
most trays in and is the average or middle ground. All trays in this category
will
contain light
scratching, rim scratching and small amount of paint loss with light surface
rusting
allowed on the
back of the tray. Good investment potential and quite displayable.
8.9 At the top of the average condition category and grades slightly better than 8.5
9 Considered just below
near mint and may contain hairline scratching and other slight
imperfections
such as pinpont paint loss which would be only noticeable if held to the
light
at certain
angles
9.5 Middle of road for mint trays and
slightly better than than 9 rating. All near mint trays have
a huge investment
potential.
9.9 Top of the near mint category. Near
perfect, you'll have to look pretty close to find anything
wrong with these
trays.
10 This is a MINT TRAY and the
price difference in Mint trays can only be justified by brighter
colors or higher
shine. Factory imperfections are allowed in this rating but factory flaws
are tough to
find and no two Mint out of the box trays are identical. You just won't
find them
any better than
MINT.
A fantasy tray is one manufactured and released without Coca Cola's consent or authorization. Fantasy trays are becoming more and more collectible for the simple fact that they are "unauthorized"
